Our after-school M.A.D. Clubs (Making a Difference Clubs) meet once a week at public school sites in
OrangeCounty’s low-income neighborhoods. Each club provides academic tutoring, structured sports
and Character Education.
Our clubs are staffed by volunteer mentors who enjoy assisting with homework, coaching a sport,
or teaching a character lesson.
The Orange County Youth Commission teaches America's traditional Judeo-Christian values using
lessons that teach eight character traits:respect, responsibility, integrity, initiative, forgiveness,
cooperation, beginnings, and compassion.
Lessons provide examples from the lives of historical heroes and biblical characters.
Our volunteers provide
excellent role models and assist in character development throughout the club time. Our after-school clubs are
supported by generous donors and provided free of charge for the young people in these low-income communities.
All gifts are tax-deductible. /span>
